Chapter 12 - Christmas at McMurdo![]() They had a nice Christmas party on Christmas Eve for everyone who was "on station." The various groups decorated and provided refreshments. It was really nice to have a party. ![]() This was one of the more interesting decorations. This life-size gingerbread house was made by the kitchen staff. Every part of the house was made from food containers. The roof (where we are sitting) was made of egg cartons. ![]() Of course, what is Christmas without a visit from Santa or one of his helpers. Since Santa was busy on Christmas Eve, one of his helpers came to make our Christmas jolly. We told him that we hoped to get a Playstation 2 for Christmas. I wonder if we will? |
