Thursday 26 October 2000 The helicopter pilots also finished the Zhong Shan flights this morning and then attended to expeditioner and supply flights to the Rauer Islands and to Landing Bluff. Both helicopters are now fully serviceable and will now base themselves at Davis and work out of there till we sail on to Mawson. Gordon had thought of going ashore for the evening and remaining overnight but he decided against it and we had a quiet evening on board - with only a few people here. Gordon actually found time to pull out a book and read it on the bridge for a while.
