18.Some supplies, like these fuel drums, are transported by helicopter. Once the fuel is used up, some drums are used for recycle bins at the research stations. I've even seen fuel drums made into an outdoor grill.

19. Helicopters are an important part of travel in Antarctica. They must be checked frequently to be sure they are in good working order.
