Modified Transcript: Other people have used ground rovers and robots in Antarctica. Specifically CMU has, they have created both Nomad and Dante II. Nomad was to go out and hunt meteorites, while Dante II was built to go explore a volcano in Antarctica. There were also some other NASA funded projects to go build rovers for exploring.
