Bob is composed of a Nomadic Scout mobile robot that is controlled with a Sony Viao Picturebook. Wireless 802.11b is used for Java RMI communication with Bob's on-board control system from a remote laptop. Bob is also capable of supporting various additional robotics sensors for testing purposes.

Bob is being used to test our waypoint navigation software. Marks are placed on the floor at one meter intervals. The robot must perform an s-shape pattern by traveling up one meter, right one meter, back one meter, etc.
