Modified Transcript: There are three primary sensing requirements; external sensing, internal sensing, and outreach sensing. External sensing will include things such as the location of the rover, as well as obstacle detecting sensors. For location sensing, we are thinking of using differential GPS. For obstacle detection sensors we are thinking of sonar arrays or laser range finders.

Internal sensing will allow us to perceive what the rovers internal environment and climate is. Some sensors that will be included will be temperature sensors and digital fuel gauges.

Outreach sensing deals more with transmitting data to people for education uses
